Connectivity Kit V3 and Solderless Extractor Combo (8/9)

This kit is designed to easy read binaries without soldering. This tool combines a Connectivity Kit V3 plus a solderless kit.

DVD Drive Power Adapter V3 for the PC. It converts the DVD Power input plug to a standard PC Molex Power plug.

This is the version 3 of the adapter. The version 3 features the following improvements:

* Improved PCB design and layout
* Added support for debug mode (on some DVD-ROMs)
* Added two LEDs to indicate the status of "Eject" button
* Added two LEDs to indicate the status of "Debug" button
* Added power on/off switch
* Included a DVD power cable
* Using a higher VA rating low dropout postive regulator to convert 5V DC to 3.3V DC
* Include all the required components for your to extract dvd key (83850V2 and 93450) w/o soldering.

You also need a PCI to SATA controller card and case opening tool in order to flash the DVD drive.

This board has an eject switch for the driver and 2 LED indicators to tell you the board is functioning.

This board also has an Debug switch for drivers supporting debug mode.

This board also has a power on/off switch.

This product is perfect if you plan on hooking up your dvd to your pc and do some interesting testing.


Warnings

In order to connect to your PC, you have to open the case, which invalidates your warranty. If you want to keep you warranty, do not try this.

Warning

We strongly encourage you to use multimeter to check the trace after rejoin it using silver glue (when it is dried). Fail to do that, you may damage your DVD drive.

If you are not too afraid of soldering, you can also solder the cuts, however, you still need to use multimeter to check the joint, to make sure there is no short circuit.

This product is a simple power converter, no custom firmware or any code. The only IC on this board is a power regulator, other components are just resistors, caps and switches etc.
